Levitezer is a company based in Finland that is launching two gimbals for 360 cameras: one for consumers and one for professionals.
LEVITEZER 360 COMPACT FOR CONSUMER
Levitezer’s 360 Compact model is for consumer 360 cameras. It has a unique design with a handle that is designed to be held horizontally. Whereas other 360 gimbals place the camera close to the motor to decrease the center of gravity, Levitezer’s gimbal puts the 360 camera around 1 foot away from the motor, then uses a counterweight on the opposite side of the motor, to balance them against each other.
Here is a 360 video with a prototype of Levitezer’s consumer gimbal. It looks quite stable.
Here is a sample 360 video with LeViteZer’s consumer gimbal. It looks completely stable even while the user (Mike Dopsa) is walking around or even walking up and down the stairs:
There is another video of the 360 Compact on Levitezer’s website.
LEVITEZER 360 PRO GIMBAL
Levitezer is also launching a 360 gimbal for professional 360 cameras. Here it is, demonstrated with the Nokia Ozo, which weighs 4.2 kg (9.3 lbs.):
I will see if I can try out either of these gimbals.
