Google Daydream (hands-on here), Google’s premium mobile VR headset, has dropped in price from $79 to $49.
I don’t know if this is a permanent price drop or a special sale. However, Google Daydream launched only November 10, 2016, and it seems unusual that they would issue such a significant price change very early in the product’s life.
In the meantime, Samsung Gear VR (reviewed here) officially remains at $99, but gray market versions are currently available for around $55.
