You will be able to shoot 360 videos with your Samsung Gear 360 2017 and edit them on the same app, with V360, a free video editing app. V360 is the first company to develop a third party 360 video editor that is natively compatible with the Samsung Gear 360 2017 (please note that only the 2017 Gear 360 will be natively compatible with V360 — it does not apply to the original Gear 360). With native compatibility, you will be able to shoot with the Gear 360 directly from within V360. After shooting, you can edit the video to trim it or combine them into a collage with titles and music, from within the same V360 app. Here is a video of the announcement:
To connect with the V360 app directly, the 2017 Gear 360 needs a firmware update that will be rolled out soon. Meanwhile, the V360 app is available from Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
The Samsung Gear 360 2017 is one of the most affordable 4K 360 cameras with good photo and video quality. It is available on Amazon for around $167.
