While almost any 360 camera can be used to upload 360 photos to Street View, only a handful are compatible with Street View 360 video mode. Insta360 One (reviewed here) is the latest 360 camera to gain this feature. Here’s how to use it.
Street View 360 video mode enables you to capture Street View photos that are automatically connected and mapped.
Step 1: connect the Insta360 One to your phone.
This feature only works with the One connected to the phone because it uses the phone’s GPS signal.
Step 2: record a video.
Step 3: share the video to Street View.
The video will be automatically converted to connected Street View photos.

Unfortunately in my own flesh & blood I could state this feature hasn’t work at all for me (InstaONE & iPhone X)
I asked Insta360 assistance since Mid of July with no effective support and an extremely poor follow up; poor communication, and ZERO results or plan on what’s next from them!
I’m about to replace my InstaONE with a Theta V for that purpose!
It looks awful -> https://goo.gl/maps/95fp9PRDVCq
I agree. These are framegrabs from a 360 video that’s why the quality is so poor compared to 360 photos. Maybe the intervalometer mode is better
Maybe it would be nice if you do a comparison between consumer level cámaras (Samsung 2016-2017, InstaONE, Ricoh Theta V, Fly360
I can attest to the fact that any 360 video can be uploaded up to Google Maps.
It may not be a built in ability on most cameras but through Google Maps itself, you can upload.
Getting it to display as 360 is another issue using this method. It’s just trial and error from here.

Is the One X also compatible? Would be surprised that the upgraded version of the camera isn’t. As an aside, it would be nice when you compare camera features, such as in your comparison chart, if you would add a column for SV compatibility, both photo and video. Thanks for all you do!
Thanks Lew! Yes the One X is now compatible with Street View video, with firmware 1.17.15!
