Insta360 One X (reviewed here). a new stabilized 5.7K 360 camera is so popular right now that it’s backordered at Amazon. How do we know? Right now, in the US, there are two listings. Neither are from Amazon. Instead, they’re resellers from China. In fact, we can see that one of the resellers even marked up the One X by $100. Crucially, both will take a couple of weeks to be delivered to the US.
B&H Photo and Adorama are both backordered as well. B&H Photo reports that it will be available in 7-10 business days, in around 2 weeks. The best hope of getting the Insta360 One X in time for Christmas is to order directly from Insta360 here.
Needless to say, the tremendous popularity of the Insta360 One X is a fantastic sign for the 360 industry, as more people are becoming aware of the advantages of 360 cameras, and in particular, 3PV cameras (stabilized 360 cameras that can provide a third person view). good job i ordered my two on the day of release, going to sell the other one shortly with a little mark up to cover costs in the uk.
ordered Nov 12th from Amazon, no update on shipping date.
Amazon is now showing that the Insta360 One X will be back in stock on Nov. 27th — I’m hoping by then to see a ship date for my order. At least I already have the SD card and selfie stick.
It’s backordered as well on Gearbest. They confirmed by at least 1-2 weeks. I ordered mine on the 19th.
hmm my contact said they have it in stock! i will check with her
