New $200 GTX 1060 3GB budget VR-Ready graphics card now in stock

The EVGA GTX 1060 SC deal that I posted is now gone (within a couple of hours of posting it) but you can get the Zotac GTX 1060 for just $199.99, currently in stock at Amazon.  The catch is that it’s only the 3GB version (instead of 6GB).  It’s a new version of the popular GTX 1060 aimed directly at the AMD RX 480 4GB.  Besides the smaller RAM, it has fewer CUDA cores (1152 vs. 1280) and texture units (72 vs. 80). The performance is not as good as that of the 6GB according to at least one reviewer, but it’s still rated VR-Ready according to NVidia. NVidia claims that the GTX 1060 3GB is 10% faster than the RX 480 8GB.
