Here’s a sample video from the Newbeedrone Invisi360, an “invisible” 360 camera FPV drone for Insta360 One R (reviewed here). I’ve been testing the Newbeedrone Invisi360 and here are my first impressions.
The Newbeedrone Invisi360 is the newest “invisible” 360 camera drone. When used with the Insta360 One R, this FPV quad is invisible to the camera. That means you can point the video anywhere without the drone being visible in the shot (except for reflections and shadows).
There have been several other invisible 360 camera drones, but the Invisi360 has several unique features, such as having a frame that puts the lens in the exact middle of the quad, and having two separate batteries for better balance and weight distribution.
As with other FPV drones, the Invisi360 is manual and has no GPS stabilization. This makes it much more difficult to fly but in my opinion, makes its flight appear much more natural and graceful.
I’ve been testing the Invisi360 over the past couple of days as a cinewhoop for real estate flythroughs. I’ve been impressed with the attention to detail in the design, and as you can see from the sample video, it can fly smoothly. However, it does have a few significant flaws that could be dealbreakers to some people (I’m trying to see if there are workarounds). Stay tuned for my full review. Meanwhile, what do you think of using 360 cameras for FPV flythrough videos? If you have questions about it, please let me know in the comments and I will answer them.
If one already has the mavic mod for the One R (also no GPS), is this worth getting?
Good question Andrew. The short answer is that it depends on what kind of videos you plan to make. If you will be shooting outdoors in wide spaces, then your Mavic and Aerial Mod will be fine. But if you will be shooting videos in tighter spaces or closer distances, the large parallax of the Mavic with Aerial Edition will have very noticeable stitching errors. For those situations, the Invisi360 will have better stitching. Invisi360 is also much smaller, so it can go through gaps as you’ll see in my review video. 😀
Hi. Is there a full review about the invisi360? I am planning to purchase it that’s why i want to checkout more reviews about it.Thanks
Hi Zeke. I have a comparison-type review with the Pavo360 vs Invisi360 here: https://360rumors.com/fly-first-shoot-later-invisible-360-drones-pavo360-review-comparison/
ahh..Yeah i saw that already. I was curious about the things you mentioned here ; https://360rumors.com/professional-fpv-pilot-reviews-newbeedrone-invisi360-360-camera-drone-insta360-one-r/
Things like “detailed discussion of its practical applications for cinematic FPV” and “it is possible to get a reasonable stitch even with the protective cover”
I have also seen some of your insta360 oneR tutorials..
I have learned a lot from your videos.
Thank you
Zeke
