Apparently, Oculus Quest and Rift S are so popular that preorders have sold for as much as $900 on eBay. Check out this listing, where at least one Rift S preorder was sold for $577.51, compared to the normal price of $399:
If you thought that was crazy, this seller has sold three units for around $899.96, compared to the normal price of $499 for the 128GB model.
I think there must be some misunderstanding, because these are for preorders, not units on hand. I wonder if the purchases are somehow fake?
Anyway, you don’t have to pay exorbitant prices to these scalpers. As of the time of this writing, Amazon is still showing a shipping date of May 21:

Interestingly, I haven’t seen any eBay listings yet for Valve Index, which was reportedly sold out in 30 minutes and is now backordered to September 30 (vs the July 28 release date).
