Ricoh Theta X (reviewed here) is now available for preorders from B&H Photo.   Here’s how to get a discount.

Ricoh Theta X is the newest 360 camera in the market and although has some flaws such as below average stabilization, it has made waves with cutting edge features such as: the most detailed videos, 11K photos, and best of all, 360 video with realtime stitching with stabilization — the first consumer 360 camera to have that feature, making it ideal for anyone who prioritizes convenience.

How to get a discount

Theta X will be shipping in March.  Preorders became available at Amazon just a few days ago, but it appears that it is sold out at Amazon.  Meanwhile, Theta X is also available from preorder from B&H Photo.

One of the benefits of buying from B&H Photo is that you can get a discount on the Theta X by using B&H’s Payboo card, which enables you to buy from B&H without having to pay the sales tax.  There’s no need to wait for a rebate or wait for points to accumulate.  Rather, the sales tax is immediately credited to your account, not just once but every time you use the Payboo card at B&H Photo.  In effect, you are able to buy the Theta X (and other gear) at a discount.  It might sound too good to be true but it really works, it’s legal (they pay the sales tax on your behalf), and I’ve saved hundreds of dollars this way.
