SeaWorld Orlando will add VR to their Kraken roller coaster, which will be renamed Kraken Virtual Reality and will be the first VR roller coaster in Florida.
Whereas other VR roller coasters have used customized Samsung Gear VR headsets (reviewed here), the Kraken Virtual Reality ride will have VR headsets that are built into the roller coaster rides. SeaWorld believes that the built-in headsets will reduce loading — and thus waiting — times.
VR roller coasters were pioneered by Six Flags earlier this year and have been popular attractions.
