Xiaomi has released a PC desktop stitching app for the Xiaomi Mijia Mi Sphere 360 camera (reviewed here), addressing one of the few weaknesses of this otherwise amazing camera.
Xiaomi Mijia Mi Sphere 360 camera is the best consumer 360 camera I’ve found for up to around $700, as of July 2017, because of its excellent photo and video quality, and its built-in image stabilization. Â However, one of its weaknesses is that the photos and videos have to be stitched on your phone, which makes the workflow much less convenient. Â Moreover, not all phones are powerful enough to stitch the videos at full resolution. Â As a result, Mi Sphere fans have been waiting for a desktop stitching app, and now it’s here!
Here is a link to the PC app (a Mac version is forthcoming).
I tried the app and sadly, I haven’t been able to stitch correctly. Â The resulting file is blank, although there is audio. Â Other users who’ve tried the app have gotten similar results. Â Hopefully there is a simple fix. Â If you want to follow the discussion, here’s the link on the Mi Sphere group on Facebook.
Thank you very much to Tony Anastasi for bringing this to my attention!
I haven’t tried it yet. Bit of a shame everyone is having problems with it.
This app is a buggy mess, I can’t get it to do anything but play audio and show a black screen. When I click export on a video file the program just crashes. I’m really starting to run out of patience with this stuff, they’re really dropping the ball on the software side and it’s screwing with my workflow.
I get a blank file and the program crashes whenever I try to export a video… This desktop app is basically useless at the moment.

i downloaded the PC but when i select the file it does not appear on the program !!!
Hi Basel. Hmm have you tried selecting a folder instead of a file?
Best regards,
Mic
Is the link available through your site only? or is there any mi.com support page that includes a download link?
Hi Allan. The links are available on madv360.com, which is xiaomi’s official site for mi sphere.
Windows alerts that the software publisher is unknown. Should we trust the uncertified software coming from China?
Thank you for sharing such great info so that we can all enjoy our 360’s!
Thanks Scott!
