Insta360 Link is a new 4K webcam with a gimbal and AI auto-tracking. In this review, I discuss whether it could be useful for livestreaming, remote work, and video calls with family.
Insta360 Link is Insta360’s first foray into cameras for business use: a non-360 webcam on a gimbal. It uses 1/2 inch sensors that appear to be the same as those used in the Insta360 One RS 4K Boost mod, providing much better image quality than a standard webcam. It can track subjects automatically and recognize gestures. It can even show a birds’ eye view of your desk, similar to Apple’s Desk View. But how well does it compare to other alternatives?
In this review, I discuss three possible target users, and other available alternatives.
ok that explains the ‘ at work’ and the owl sitting on the monitor,,.. haha.. ok :p
As the camera turns out to be monoscopic, the owl in their teaser should have been drawn with only one eye. .-)
Two and a half years ago this would have been absolute gold.
Uhuh I wonder if they know that? I think in China the protocols are stricter, which is why they thought a product like this is needed.
