Dashwood’s plug-ins for 360 video editing on Mac software, previously $1,000 is now FREE.
Dashwood makes plug-ins for 360 video editing for Mac. The plug-ins work on Final Cut Pro, Motion, Adobe Premiere Pro, and After Effects. The plug-ins include tools such as horizon leveling, 2D or 3D 360 editing, tripod removal, etc. I posted about them almost exactly a year ago here.
A few days ago, Apple hired Dashwood’s founder Tim Dashwood, and the plug-ins are now free! I don’t have a Mac but I’m glad Mac users are getting a break!
I’m also curious if this means that Apple will also be more involved with the 360 industry going forward.
Thanks to tech blogger Mike Cane (Atomic Supermen blog) for bringing this to my attention!
Hi. Yes this is the way of interesting change 🙂 Hopefully Apple will this implemented also in iMovie with some limitations. With FCP X it works well! I have tested yesterday.
Very happy for you Axel! Best regards, Mic
