Would you like to learn how to shoot and edit photos from experienced 360 photographers?  Ricoh is sponsoring a free workshop where you can learn how to shoot and edit with the Theta X (reviewed here) and Theta Z1 (reviewed here) on March 30, 2022 at 5pm EST.  No need to travel either, because this is a virtual workshop on Zoom.  And although this workshop is presented for Theta X and Theta Z1, many of the techniques will be applicable to other 360 cameras as well.  UPDATE: recorded video added.

360 cameras have amazing creative possibilities, and can also be used for virtual tours.  But for photographers and videographers who’ve never used them before, they can be quite confusing to edit.

In this virtual workshop, Sam Rohn, Clay Morehead, and I will be presenting shooting as well as editing techniques for Theta X and Theta Z1, two 360 cameras that are very popular for virtual tours.  Sam Rohn and Clay Morehead are two very experienced professional 360 photographers who started out with DSLR and mirrorless cameras and have also been shooting with 360 cameras.   As for me, I’ve been a photographer since 2007, but I began my 360 journey on 360 cameras in 2015, before shooting with DSLRs for 360 photos starting in 2017 and have since shot virtual tours for small and medium size businesses with mirrorless cameras, 360 cameras, and drones.

This will be a live virtual workshop via Zoom.  You can sign up to be notified here.   Meanwhile, if you have questions that you want answered in the workshop, please post them in the comments below.  See you then!

UPDATE: here is the recorded version of the video.
