DJI Action 4 vs Insta360 Ace Pro and Insta360 Ace vs side by side comparison: DESTROYED!

How do the new Insta360 Ace Pro and Insta360 Ace compare with the DJI Action 4?  Here are side by side comparisons.

DJI Action 4 vs Insta360 Ace Pro

The new Insta360 Ace Pro ($449) has the same 1/1.3 inch sensor size as the DJI Action 4 ($399).  Action 4 can shoot at 10-bit whereas the Ace Pro can shoot only at 8-bit.  However, Action 4’s maximum resolution is 4k, whereas Ace Pro can shoot at 8k.  As you can see below, Ace Pro has far more detail at 8k.

DJI Action 4 vs Insta360 Ace

Insta360 Ace ($379) is the more affordable little brother of the Insta360 Ace Pro.  It has a smaller 1/2.0 sensor and shoots at up to 6k but has most of the other features of the Ace Pro.

DJI Action 4 has 10-bit video and a larger 1/1.3 sensor than Insta360 Ace, but Ace can shoot at up to 6k and is much more detailed as you can see below.
