The Monkey Tail can bend to almost any position and so far doesn’t seem to suffer from bending fatigue (when repeated bending can eventually break the metal). The exterior is a thick rubber jacket with good friction against many surfaces.
It has a 1/4-20 male connector at one end and a 1/4-20 tripod hole at the other, which means you can combine more than one Monkey Tail to get a longer monkey tail if you need it.
With its flexibility, the Monkey Tail can mount your Insta360 Go 2 or action cam on a variety of surfaces for creative shots. The downside is that the Go 2 doesn’t have a 1/4-20 tripod hole for the Monkey Tail. Instead, you’ll need to use the Go 2 the charger case, which is not waterproof. Alternatively, you can get a 1/4-20 to GoPro Mount to use one of the included Go 2 holders.
The Monkey Tail is around $19 and is available only direct from Insta360 at the moment.
