The Insta360 Pro is now available for preorder directly from Insta360. It is also available for preorder from B&H Photo.
Insta360 Pro is Insta360’s highly anticipated 360 camera announced at CES 2017, with 8k resolution at 2D 360, 6k at 3D 360, or 4k with live streaming in 2D or 3D. It also offers realtime stabilization. It is now available for preorder for $3,499, from Insta360 or from B&H Photo (B&H has free expedited shipping and it would be a great way to support 360 Rumors). According to Insta360, this batch of preorders will ship in May (B&H said they will get theirs May 18).

Built for Pro VR Filmmakers

Using six 200° lenses, the Pro captures photos and video in transporting 8K 360. Creators can leverage the Pro’s onboard real-time stitching technology to capture finished 360 videos that don’t require any post-processing, or else opt for fine-grained control with Insta360’s included post-processing software or a third-party solution of their choice.

Live 360 Made Simple
With a state-of-the-art real-time image stitching algorithm and a versatile range of connectivity options – including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, HDMI and 4G —the Pro makes 360 live broadcasting easier than ever.
Users can input an RTMP address and use the Pro’s onboard processor to live-stream directly, with no intermediate server necessary.
Meanwhile, using an H.265 compression standard and cube map projection, the Pro cuts normal bandwidth needs by 60 percent.
Ready to Move
Weighing just over 2.7 pounds (1.2 kg) and sporting a removable battery, the Pro is ideal for going out on location.
Its lightweight design also lends it to drone-mounted aerial videography, and with the addition of a 4G network card, creators will be able to live-stream from anywhere with a signal.
