If you have any interest in videos at all, you’ve probably seen the many YouTube reviews for the Insta360 One X (detailed review here), even by YouTubers who are not camera reviewers, much less 360 camera shooters. Almost all of the reviews have been positive and recommend the Insta360 One X. Are all these reviews paid endorsements? Are these reviewers simply lying? This is a long term review of the Insta360 One X that gives an honest answer to the question if the Insta360 One X is still worth it in 2019.
In Part 1, I’ll discuss why most reviewers recommend the Insta360 One X.
In Part 2, I’ll discuss 7 weaknesses of the Insta360 One X, including the most common complaints that I see.
In Part 3 (which will be the next video), I’ll compare the Insta360 One X against other 360 cameras in 2019, including the GoPro Fusion, which has seen a price reduction to $299.
In Part 4 (also in the next video), I’ll give my predictions for the next version of the Insta360 One X. When will it be released and what features will it have?
Here are Parts 1 and 2 of this long-term review:
Here is Part 3:
Part 4 didn’t make it to this video because it was already getting long. I’ll put it in the next video. And if you want to see the 360 buying guide, check it out here.
I know I saw a OneX on the podium during #WWC19 trophy presentations… does anyone know where we can see the video?
I spotted the OneX in MrMobile’s recent wireless earbud video. He has not reviewed it but it seems he is using it for b roll.
One x pa not enough when you target device is VR headset. I don’t know why we still have no 1 inch sensor camera with 4 lenses with 8K mono from Insta 360. They made this top notch Titan but I would love to just have nice detailed 8k monoscopic video around $3000
Often while on a tripod the One X will produce footage that spins around and around, or wobbles. One one shoot the first part was spinning and the second part wobbling. Solution – shoot with multiple cameras.
Also every so often the stabilization just does not work and no matter what you do, you cannot fix it in the edit. Solution, went back and shot it all over again . . . not something you would want to have for a wedding shoot . . . or any other event.

Most of the time it works great . . . all of the time would be fantastic.
Parts 1/2 are quite good. What happened with 3 and 4?
Just posted this morning buddy! 😀 Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Ys8JM2a50s
