Great sleuthing Chris! The only thing I would say is to take it with a grain of salt because they’ve been saying “coming soon” for a couple of years now. So they seem to be operating under a different time scale. hahaha
Yea well, forgive my excitement. I’m a bit disappointed that China’s lockdown of Shenzhen means some of the stereoscopic toys I’m expecting will get postponed…
It sounds like another gimmick camera. if the resolution and quality isnt better than what we already have then why bother, unless just to fleece the people who unquestionably just buy all the gizmos.

Its probably the smallest sensor ever put into a camera. That seems to be the direction insta is going.
a smaller sensor would not see it logical. I think that precisely what we are looking for is a larger sensor for better videos in low light.
It is very clear that it is the new ONE R. The photographic montage of the advertising and the “window” projecting videos on the pairs are clearly visual references to the design of the ONE R. resolution and processing to avoid excessive heating. It is also clear that it will come out with an app update with more pre-configured videos and some new gadget. I’m a big fan of Insta360 and I’m already looking forward to being surprised… or not!
I´m a fan of Insta360 too. But i´m completly dissatisfied, because they have as little service as GoPro. And in Germany it´s almost impossible to get special spare parts and accessories….
So, it will not have any 3D, but obviously an integratet beamer and it will be adjustible regarding replacing the lenses if they are brocken etc…;)
I’m still holding out for a consumer stereo VR180 in 2022. 5.7k 60fps (like the Evo) H.265 with lens protectors and a screen.
Still no 3D Mount and no VR180. Done with insta360

Hi Pete. The 3D Mod has been built so the only thing that’s holding it back is insta360 wondering if there’s sufficient demand for it. Please put a hashtag #3D in the comments to let insta360 know that there is demand for it and that we’re still waiting for the 3D mod.
