The Rylo ($499, reviewed here) is an excellent 360 camera for action thanks to its best-in-class stabilization. However, if you want to use the Rylo for action sports, I very strongly recommend getting the Adventure Case. The Rylo, like any 360 camera, has lenses that protrude and if they’re scratched, the scratches will definitely appear in your photo as blobs when light strikes them. At the same time, Rylo is not a cheap camera (it’s $499).
What’s amazing about the Adventure Case is that it adds no flare. The flare is the same with or without the case. This means you can use it all the time without loss of image quality (although the sound will be muffled).
The Adventure Case is available for $69 on Amazon. UPDATE: If you’re looking for the discounted case, the discount deal has expired. I’ve already sold all the adventure cases, and I won’t get any more at that price.
