Teche, creators of the professional Phiimax 3D and TE720 cameras is releasing a new 360 camera at CES.
The camera is codenamed “Revolution,” and appears to be a dual-lens consumer 360 camera. It will be interesting to see what Teche will offer to compete with other 360 cameras. I will visit their booth at CES 2020 and post whatever information I can find.

Similar to Pilot Era/One in lens layout and housing design, some of the specs are also similar.
It would be really useful to compare them (Pilot One/Era with this Teche camera) in terms of colors, dynamic range, stitching, low light performance …
Until Ricoh or another maker put a larger fisheye like the kind of Entanya to have a far better seam quality in dual-lens design, these 4-fisheye models seem to address that seam quality issue better. however how they handle the parallax problem is to be seen. So far I am leaning towards getting a Pilot One and calling it a day to save lots of time in publishing and processing …
Price and size, it is in the same league as Pilot Era in the 3000-3500 USD range.
They brag about it having better image quality and no cooling fan noise compared to Insta360 Pro 2!

Mic, what do you think about the idea of a hires e.g. 16k dual fisheye or quad-fisheye model from any of the makers? Ricoh, Insta360, Kandao, Labpano? seems the hi-res market is left to Multicam models like Xphase and Panono … I think it is feasible given the lenses from Entanya and super hi-res 100+ mp sensors currently available in new phones … what is your take and predictions?
