I’ve posted my XPhase Pro comparison! I compared it against a DSLR, the Ricoh Theta Z1, the Ultracker Aleta S2C and the Panono. I compared them for detail, dynamic range, and stitching quality, both indoors and outdoors.
For the DSLR (technically, a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera), I used the popular Sony a6000 with 24mp APS-C sensor and a Samyang 8mm f/2.8 II diagonal fisheye. Note: A diagonal fisheye yields the maximum resolution for a single-row panorama, or an 8-shot multi-row panorama.
Here’s the comparison video. To see the photos side by side and make your own A-B comparisons, check out the photo comparison tool on the 360 Camera Buying Guide. For more information on the XPhase, see the XPhase Pro review page.
Fantastic job! This was clearly a ton of work. Thanks for doing this. It pretty much clinches the Xphase for me. The only question is when the gyroscope and locality functionality are going to be added. Have you had any estimates from the manufacturer?
Hi there!
How can I order it?
Thanks
Hi Gabor. Sorry for the delayed reply. It is now in stock at http://bit.ly/buyqoocam8k
