Kandao has posted a new sample 360 photo from the highly anticipated Qoocam 8K (previewed here). Here’s the new photo:
The photo was shot at ISO 200, f/2.0, 1/30.
The new photo uses DNG8 mode, a unique feature of the Qoocam and Qoocam8K. In DNG8 mode, the Qoocam takes eight Raw DNG shots, which are then stacked in the mobile or desktop app to reduce noise and effectively increase the usable shadow range. Unlike median stacking and similar techniques in Photoshop, Qoocam’s DNG8 workflow does not result in ghosting, and can be used even when the subject is moving.
Qoocam 8K is the world’s first consumer 360 camera with 8K resolution. It also the first consumer 360 camera to have 10-bit video and 4K 120fps slow motion capability. For more information, check out my hands-on preview.
